Bwythyn Conservation is a long-term project dedicated to restoring traditional Welsh cottages and farmhouses. Rather than renovate for convenience, we focus on careful conservation — using the correct materials, traditional craftsmanship, and methods that respect the original character. Each property is designed to remain part of its community, offering homes that last and legacies that matter.

THE APPROACH
We conserve, not restore or renovate. By working with local craftspeople and sourcing the correct materials, we preserve the history written into every wall, beam, and stone. The goal is to keep the authentic feel of the building alive while making it functional for modern living.
THE CRAFT
Every detail counts. From lime plastering to traditional joinery, we use methods that honour Welsh heritage and reduce reliance on modern quick fixes. This is slower work, but it creates properties that remain timeless, not disposable.
We believe heritage homes belong to the communities they were built for. That’s why our focus is on long-term rentals, helping local families and residents stay rooted. Where short-term lets are considered, they’ll only be in places where they genuinely support, not weaken, the community.
THE COMMUNITY
LASTING VALUE
Bwythyn Conservation is still at the beginning, but its purpose is clear: to protect Welsh heritage while giving homes a future. Every project is about more than bricks and mortar, it’s about community, craft, and care. If you share this vision, or simply want to know more about what we’re building, I’d love to hear from you.
